About this data
Hotspots are heat anomalies seen by satellite and are not always fires. Cloud or thick smoke can hide a fire. Map colours are a model estimate per 500 m, not measurements. Wind is a weather model forecast (ECMWF, ICON, GFS) on points about 165 km apart, so local winds such as sea breezes do not show.
